Our Story – Puy-de-Dôme

Camping les Dômes was opened in 1981 on the initiative of Roger and Eliane, parents of the current manager, Catherine.

Originally from Clermont-Ferrand, watchmakers by trade and fans of camping for years, Roger and Eliane acquired the land of the current campsite to park their caravan and spend a few weekends in the volcanoes.

As the months and years went by, friends came to the campsite and word of mouth did its work, and the campsite began to take shape...

From the initial plot of land to the house that serves as a reception area, then the paving of the driveways, the construction of the swimming pool, and finally

The campsite was built gradually, brick by brick, starting with the house that serves as reception and the tarring of the paths, the construction of the sanitary block, the construction of the swimming pool, the “ Zenith of Domes ” our group room, etc.

The seasons have passed, and now the time for a handover is upon us. In the early 2000s, Roger and Eliane decided it was time to pass the torch. And who better to take over this remarkable family business? Their daughter, Catherine, of course.

And so, for more than 20 years , Catherine and her team have kept this beautiful campsite alive and evolving with all the kindness and friendliness they know how to show.

Our story doesn't end here; quite the contrary, it continues thanks to all our campers. And we hope it will continue for many years to come!
